For over twenty years Cynthia Burkman has been one of the top trainers in the Arabian horse world. With numerous National Championships in western, English, country, hunter, side saddle and show hack, Cynthia and her students are always formidable contenders at the regional and national shows. Amateur and youth riders form a strong team at the Burkman Centre.

Trainer Marisa Basinger had a successful youth show career, winning several National titles. After graduating from college, Marisa began her career as a professional trainer in Scottsdale. She came to the Burkman Centre in 2007. Marisa comes from a family with strong ties to the Arabian breed as her grandfather bred them for many years.

Burkman Centre found a home at High Star Farms, a beautiful 100 acre farm located in Los Olivos, California. Owners Gerry and Harold Brown have built a spectacular show place, with over 85 stalls, 2 covered roundpens, a clubhouse, several arenas, numerous pastures and paddocks, a racetrack, and even bungalows for visiting clients.
